Trafficking in Human Beings (THB) is one of the most pressing and complex issues in Europe today. In Romania, the numbers of trafficked persons continues to grow. Often, they are perceived and treated as perpetrators of crime. In Romania, only few NGOs contribute to the State efforts to reduce the phenomenon of trafficking in human beings. Also, the State specific institutions do not have yet sufficient awareness and means to address all the complex aspects of the reintegration process of the victims of trafficking in human beings.

The project’s overall goal is to significantly increase the results in the recovery process of Romanian victims of human trafficking by supporting them in acquiring the necessary skills for an independent life. The project goal will be achieved through the following outcomes:

  • Assisted persons living in the Centre have skills which enable them to live in emotional and financial independence
  • The financial sustainability of the Centre is improved
  • The Centre’s sustainability is developed through raising awareness of its work
