Asia and Pacific Division

The Asia and Pacific Division is responsible for Switzerland’s bilateral relations with states in that region. It coordinates its work with all other agencies, both within the Department and in other areas of the federal administration.

The Division also cooperates closely with Swiss representations in the region, and with those countries’ embassies in Switzerland. It assesses the opportunities and threats confronting Switzerland, and defines Swiss interests in accordance with the five foreign-policy objectives set out in the Federal Constitution.
