Every year, March is an opportunity to celebrate the Francophonie. The Consulate General of Switzerland in Istanbul collaborate with the French High School Notre-Dame de Sion and Saint-Joseph High School in Izmir and offers an evening of French songs performed by Swiss soprano Maria Gessler accompanied by Turkish pianist Baris Büyükyildirim.
The Swiss jazz band Nu-Bass will perform in Istanbul on the occasion of the Francophonie at Lycée Français Saint Benoît and in Izmir for the Izmir Jazz Festival at the AASSM concert hall (Ahmet Adnan Saygun Sanat Merkezi).
The first and only film festival in Turkey dedicated to the early decades of filmmaking, the International Istanbul Silent Cinema Days is celebrating its fifth year. The festival takes place from December 5 to 9 2018 at the following venues: Akbank Sanat Merkezi, French Institute, Bomontiada ALT, and Kadiköy Film Theatre.
One of the most charismatic quartets of European jazz, Parisien/Peirani/Schaerer/Wollny is a band that likes to push its boundaries as well as the instruments they play. Swiss singer Andreas Schaerer, German pianist Michael Wollny, French accordionist Vincent Peirani, and French saxophonist Emilie Parisien have reinforced their bright careers through this project and crowned it last year with their album Out of Land.

The Swiss Dancer Natalie Wagner will present a new solo performance at the Ankara Dance Festival that will be held for the first time in Turkey on 29-30 June and 1 July. Her performance was made possible by the generous support of Lufthansa.
