New funds to increase youth employability

The Education to Employment (E2E) programme, a four-year partnership project of two governments — Swiss and Serbian — designed to create preconditions for a faster recruitment and youth employment, has published a new Call for employers "Employees to fit your business". With this call, financial and technical support will be provided to employers to organize work-based-learning for young job seekers, as well as to support them with the process of recruitment, qualification and selection of new employees. 


“Let’s get TO KNOW each other” – a campaign for greater transparency of local public finances

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Government of Switzerland, aware of the importance of promoting good practice in accountable and efficient public finance management at the local level, are launching a media campaign “Let’s get TO KNOW each other”. The aim of this campaign is to promote examples of good practice, and also to inspire and encourage other municipalities to introduce greater transparency and accountability in public finance management at the local level.


Swiss Support in the Southwest Serbia: Results and Plans

Best experiences in supporting children from vulnerable groups

Since 2003, the Swiss Government has supported 43 local communities in implementing the Joint program on Roma and marginalized groups inclusion. The Program reached 57’000 children and 14’000 parents and contributed to an increased enrolment of Roma children and children with disabilities in school, as well as a decrease of the drop-out rate. After the successful completion of the Program in May 2018, these communities are capable to continue supporting the most vulnerable groups. Launching of the Impact Angel Network Serbia

The Impact Angel Network Serbia, which will be launched on August 30th, will enable startups to build their entrepreneurial capacities and become sustainable through access to alternative finance models. The Swiss Government has supported this initiative in order to contribute to business enabling environment, increased employment and economic development.


Successful first Summer camp for students

The camp provided students a platform to build their business capacities, acquire new experiences and for networking. Through the Science technology park Belgrade, Switzerland continues to support young people and their startup businesses.


Switzerland supports the public accounting reform in Serbia

Through the recently launched Public Sector Accounting Reform project, Switzerland continues to support the Serbian Government in the realization of its public finance management reform. In cooperation with the Treasury Administration and the World Bank, Switzerland will stay dedicated until 2020 to support the improvement of the public accounting system in Serbia.



Introducing the European Energy Award in Serbia

The new Swiss supported project will be implemented in Paracin, Krusevac, Vrbas and Uzice. The European Energy Award (EEA) Approach is a comprehensive energy management system that enables translation of national goals related to energy into local policy recommendations. In addition, the project involves the rehabilitation of 20 public buildings, which will increase energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emission.
