The Lubelskie Voivodeship is a typically agricultural region considered among the most economically underdeveloped ones in Poland and in the EU with the lowest level of gross domestic product. However the region is attractive for tourism thanks to its cultural heritage and uncontaminated natural landscapes. This factor represents an important opportunity for the economic development of the region and an alternative source of income.
The programme aims at developing the tourism and investment attractiveness of the triangle Naleczow-Pulawi-Kazimierz Dolny. Inhabitants will be given an alternative source of income and should result in improved living conditions in the region and a consequent improvement of the socioeconomic situation in the region.
