The tasks of the embassy

Since 18 May 2020 the state of emergency in the Czech Republic has been lifted.

The situation is developing dynamically, the restrictive measures are periodically relaxed. The entry ban for foreigners without a residence permit will continue to apply, with a few exceptions (e.g. for business trips or visits for family or long-term relationships).  When entering the Czech Republic it is always necessary to present a negative corona test or a mandatory 14-day quarantine will be ordered.

Public transport is still limited, but there are now regular bus connections to Switzerland and back. From 5 June, SWISS will again offer direct flights to Zurich, and from 21 June also to Geneva.
