Contexte
The two counties Gorlicki and Nowosądecki (total 306'600 inhabitants) in the eastern part of Małopolska Region suffer from relatively high unemployment compared to
national average. Małopolska Region has mainly small farms and as well in the two counties, most of the inhabitants are farmers or working in enterprises related to agricultural production. The
area's main potentials are valuable natural resources (attracting considerable tourism) and a diversified agricultural production.
Objectifs
The goal of the project is to strengthen the socio-economic potential of the sub-region by implementing a policy leading to the development of entrepreneurship including
agricultural processing industry oriented towards the creation of non-agricultural sources of income in rural area as well as exerting influence on the development of human capital using modern form
of vocational and continuing education.
Activités
(i): Organisation of trainings and consulting services coupled with set up of a fund for entrepreneurs (ii): Analysis of tourism offer together with development of a
tourism promotion system (iii): Technology transfer in agricultural production and consulting services for manufacturing companies (iv): Creation of two educational centres and development of
development of specific trainings modules
